Niclas Dansson

NORRKÖPING, SWEDEN

Niclas is a true fisherman that fishes more than most. His heart beating for salmon but also the big sea trout of the Baltic rivers with River Em as his number one favourite. Niclas started fly fishing at an early age of 12 and since growing up in Åby outside the Swedish city of Norrköping, Motala ström is where he started fishing for salmon. Now he visits the Swedish north with Kalix and Lainio as favourites and then the Norwegian Finnmark where he’s been going yearly the last 20 years. His bent rod also been seen in the Trøndelag region and on the Norwegian vest coast.

He loves his spring magenta flies and for Norway almost every black and green pattern. For the fall Em salmon and sea trout, spey flies and muddlers is what’s on his leader. Niclas loves everything from the big spring river to the small sea trout streams, fished with a single handed rod. He has a big conservation interest, of course practice C&R, have no believes in hatcheries and see the future in free flowing rivers with wild fish!
