Kharlovka - Tuesday

Tuesday

Today it was finally time to fish the lower and right side of the river. We started off in seapool and despite lots of fish nothing happened. When I walked up to Julians I didn’t have much faith in better luck but I soon landed a small sea-trout and thereafter an osenka weighing about 12 lbs. Jari my Finish fishing buddy lost a good sized one and thereafter landed an 18 lbs loused one. He was ecstatic! We switched with the guys who had fished above us at Rockpool which was big and fast. I changed to 1000 grains and after that it worked a lot better. I lost one but landed an 11,5 kg and another fantastic sea-trout around 7 kg! Possibly the biggest sea-trout ever recorded at ASR – awesome! It was “the witch” which landed the first two and a big, fat Pahtakorva with rubberlegs that landed the other two. The river is still rising and is enormous. Thankfully the temperature is also rising – this afternoon the temp of the river was 4 degrees!
