THE PATTERN

Flash wings have gained increasing popularity in recent years. Mikael tied his first flash wing for Gaulfossen back in the early 80s. This new design is elevated by a stiff underwing that effectively holds the flash away from the hook. The innovative SSS Flash blend, combined with the new Glitz Dubbing Brush, makes tying exceptionally easy. To add motion, ostrich hackles are tied in front of the wing, resulting in a highly flashy fly with the perfect drop form. Designed for early-season fishing with heavy lines, this super-light BTT fly gracefully dances in the slow currents of deep pools. Meanwhile, the heavier TTT version cuts through the surface, adding speed to reach greater depths.
