First day in Alta
It’s always just as nice to drive down through the canyon to see the river present itself like a blue snake from afar. All the classic places – fantastic!
I started off at the Goddaniemi with a small spiced up Vaehaeniva Puzzy and a float/I/sink 2. The take appeared after only 30 yards and a beautiful 8 kilo salmon became the first take. Vaehaeniva gave me a 6 kilo male taken with a Samurai and Ole Johan Myhre which I share a rod with had a 7 kilo at the Gabonacken. We filmed everything hysterically and I’m sure there are lots of interesting sequences which I will add once I’m back home.
We have 1 foot of water that slowly decrease, sun and nice weather with a water temperature of 14 degrees C.
