Québec’s Matapedia and Bonaventure Rivers are among the most iconic Atlantic salmon waters on Canada’s east coast. In this film, Mikael, Jakob, and the team travel to these legendary rivers—Matapedia, a key tributary to the mighty Restigouche, and a quick visit to the crystal-clear Bonaventure. Faced with low water, tropical heat, and relentless sun, conditions were far from easy. Yet, through persistence and the right tactics, salmon were hooked and landed. Canadian rivers hold a unique magic, and the challenge of catching these magnificent fish on a perfectly presented fly is what will keep us coming back.
