PM #37 – Sillen Butterfly

Watch Mikael tie one of his favourite sunshine flies in the broad deadly swimming butterfly design. The technique has recently been improved by ambassador Peter Ohlsson. When the river turns blue Sillen is unbeatable, but it’s also great in crystal clear rivers. When fresh fish stop in shallow water on a clear day – this is our best weapon. To make the fly blend in is important especially on the clear day in clear water. The Butterfly version is a absolute superb swimmer with a translucency that beats everything – when you fish this little shiny fly you want the sun to shine from a clear blue sky and bright fish entering in god numbers.
