PM #25 – Thunder Spey & Silver Doctor Spey

In this month Pattern of the Month Mikael ties some of his favourite spey patterns. Flies that have given him fish up to 45 lbs. Mikael ties on the super light BTT Tubes with the durable pheasant rumph feathers. This simple but very effective design give flies that swim like alive with very high translucence. We prefer them on a fairly clear river. The Silver Doctor for the clearest conditions and the Thunder Spey when there is a bit of humus. And don’t forget the Thunder Spey in the hunt for the big Baltic sea trout.
