Em opening days!
A hearty cough cold did that i sleept in the opening morning. It is guaranteed never happened before. Windy and cold and with the fact that autumn disease taken large parts of the population meant that hopes were not so great. I fished 6 piece Lxi and a 14.8 Reaction with a 2/4/6 and a 1/3/5 ... flies were classic black Docktor flash with and without the orange under wing. Sure I even got a few fish on Pahtakorva - of course! It was quite a few smaller fresh seatrout but fewer of the wintering big trout. My biggest trout was a 82 cm female and the finest a shiny fresh run 3 kilo from Iceland pool. Let us now hope that the fall will be fine without dead fish and warm temperatures!
