PM #49 – Classic Durham Ranger
This classic fly holds a special place in Mikael's heart as one of his earliest favourites. The beautifully composed body reflects the artistry of the Victorian era. Its unique appearance, featuring a wing of golden pheasant tippet feathers, has been modernised with a tapered, soft swimming hair wing, delicately striped with a marker pen. Simple yet enchanting, this fly exudes a certain magic, particularly effective in water with a hint of colour and under a clouded sky.
